About
S.T.E.A.M. ACHIEVERS’ principal objective is to bridge the S.T.E.A.M. education and academic achievement gap for students from diverse backgrounds by providing innovative, real-world experiences in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. S.T.E.A.M. ACHIEVERS scholars connect with and receive mentorship from professionals from science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics fields and use the skills they acquire to solve real life problems in their community. Scholars decided to rally around a fellow scholar's desire was to design video games that his autistic brother could play.

Our hands-on curriculum strategically fosters exploration along with the excitement for learning and subsequently pursuing S.T.E.A.M. pathways among girls and boys ages 6-18. Scholars also build critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and collaboration skills through interdisciplinary, project-based learning activities that build interest and confidence in S.T.E.A.M. subjects in school and beyond.

Designed to increase student motivation for further S.T.E.A.M. study, our multidisciplinary approach strategically helps students discover their potential for success in future S.T.E.A.M. careers.

S.T.E.A.M. Achievers activities are aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Technology Applications and numerous TEKS for Math and Language Arts.
