Erin is a professional opera/ classical singer from Dallas, Texas and has provided voice lessons to students of all ages since 2010. More information about her work and voice instruction is available at
www.ErinAlcorn.com. She is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and a master student in opera performance at the University of North Texas. She was a young artist with The Dallas Opera in the 2014-2015 season and recently performed the role of Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro with the Oberlin in Italy Opera Theater in Tuscany. Erin's mission is to provide voice instruction to students in a positive and healthy way and to foster the development of a passion for singing. She focuses on releasing tension, creating good habits, and developing an everlasting enjoyment for one’s instrument. She works towards excellence in diction and the understanding and communication of text. Students will explore classical and musical theater repertoire and focus attention to the meaning and communication of text in many languages including English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
