Online Auction Now Open for Bids
by Pam Takesh

The last week of practices are here and the moms of Coppell are ready to put their cleats to the turf as Black vs Red comes to life on Coppell Middle School West’s Lesley Field Saturdaynight, May 18 at 7 p.m. This 4th Annual Powder Puff game is a fundraiser to raise money for the Coppell Cheerleading Association which supports the Coppell Youth Football Cheerleaders. In addition to raising funds for the cheerleaders, CCA also shares the proceeds with local charity, Taylor’s Gift Foundation.

Trained by current CYFA coaches Don Wendel and Jerry Osteen for Team Black, and Mark Paschall and current CHS player Myles Paschall for Team Red, the ladies have learned strategies and plays, practiced drills, and have been readied for a fun yet competitive game. This game comes to life with play-by-play commentary by a professional MC, Coppell cheerleaders will ignite the crowd with an amazing half-time show, and spectators have raffle opportunities.

In addition there is an online auction which opened May 8 and runs through game day, May 18, ending at noon. New items are being added each day and there are some incredible deals to check out including Disneyland Parkhopper Passes, an AC/DC autographed guitar and proof, Danica Patrick hand-signed and framed photo, a Coppell fire truck ride to school, and so much more! Visit www.coppellcheer.com/auction .

If you enjoy football, a night out under the lights, like to be entertained or want to show your support, please join in the fun this Saturday night. Gates open at 6 p.m. with music, warm-ups and team introductions. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.coppellcheer.com or at the door for just $5.
