The classic favorite drama “Driving Miss Daisy” will begin performances at Theatre Coppell on Friday, April 8, running through April 24.

The story, which won both the Pulitzer Prize and the Academy Award, is based on true characters and events from 1948 to 1973, when a headstrong woman is forced to tolerate a new chauffeur because, according to her son, she can no longer drive a car safely.  As the years pass, the relationship between her and her driver transforms into a lasting friendship.

The show will run at the Coppell Center for the Arts, 157 S. Moore Road, in Coppell, and tickets are available at TheatreCoppell.com or by calling 972-745-7719.
