Ballet Ensemble of Texas, Coppell’s resident ballet company, recently attended a national festival of dance in Montreal, Canada, hosted by Regional Dance of America. Twenty of the Ballet Ensemble’s company dancers participated in 5 days of master classes and performances, and at the end of the festival the dancers pictured here received scholarships for summer study at nationally recognized schools such as American Ballet Theatre’s school in New York and the National Ballet of Canada school in Toronto. The Ballet Ensemble is proud to announce that Macy’s will be a Season Sponsor for the company for their 2012-2013 season. Macy’s has been a long-time supporter of the company, especially for its annual “Nutcracker” performances in December.
All of the Ensemble members will be performing this coming weekend, May 26th and 27th, as part of the Ballet Academy of Texas’ annual Spring Performances at Coppell High School auditorium. Performances are free and open to the public and will take place on Saturday, May 26th at 5:00 and 7:00 p.m., and on Sunday, May 27th at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. For more information call (972) 745-0199.
