The Coppell Farmers Market will open weekly on Saturday, March 29, 8 am to noon, in a new location.  Located just around the corner, shoppers can find the Coppell Farmers Market in the public square located in Old Town Coppell, at 768 W. Main Street.  If you liked the old site, you’ll love the new site, just one short block away.

Old Town Coppell is a revitalized area in the southwest sector of the city and includes restaurants, retail and office, craftsman style homes, and the new pavilion housing the Coppell Farmers Market.  Ideal for family outings, the public square sits adjacent to a new playground, an interactive fountain, plenty of green space, seating areas, easy access to parking and a restroom.

The Coppell Farmers Market will have a new configuration within the pavilion, T-ing off into a large open space for the large trucks with trailers.   Extra signage and volunteers will be ready on opening day to help customers find their favorite vendors.  All vendors will be returning this year so there will be plenty of familiar faces along with some additional farmers growing sustainable produce.  Parking for the market is along the one-way streets around the square, including a parking lot to the northwest of the pavilion.

“We are excited about our new place and encourage everyone to come out every Saturday to be a part of the farmers market energy and pick up fresh food for the week,” says Karen Pearsall, CFM Committee Chair.  Stop by the CFM Info booth for a free cup of coffee every Saturday.

The Coppell Farmers Market, established in 2003, has become one of the best community markets in the DFW area, where one can shop for all of their meals from this fresh and local source.  Both customers and the farmers/producers have shaped the market to what it is today, guided by a community-based organization, the Coppell Farmers Market Committee.  The committee has certainly been true to their mission to form a relationship with local growers/producers in order to provide fresh, seasonal produce and agricultural products for our community while fostering a sense of place in Old Town Coppell.

The Coppell Farmers Market is open every Saturday, 8am to noon, starting March 29, 2014, at 768 W. Main St. in Coppell.  The farmers market accepts Lone Star Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) and bank ATM cards used to purchase wooden market tokens (market cash) at the CFM Info booth and free coffee.
