We get a lot of requests from parents looking for piano and voice lessons for young beginners. While ideal age to begin any musical instrument varies, here are our recommendations based on our experience.

We recommend minimum 5 years as a great age to begin piano lessons. You don't need to invest in expensive piano or electic piano as a portable electronic keyboard (full-size 61-keys) is enough. These can be bought via Amazon.com or local music store for about $99.

We recommend students to be 8 years old to begin voice lessons. The reason for that is while younger beginners can sing, the challenging voice expercises may stress younger beginners vocal cords. Usually, 8 years old beginners do quite well.
