Dan, Zachary, Presley, Gabriel, and Jessica Koller
Coppell resident Dan Koller is seeking the Place 6 seat on the Coppell ISD Board of Trustees.
Koller and his wife, Jessica, moved their family to Coppell expressly so their older son, Gabriel, could enroll in the district’s outstanding special-education program. Gabriel is now a seventh-grader at Coppell Middle School North, which he attends with his autism service dog, Presley. The Kollers’ younger son, Zachary, is a third-grader at Denton Creek Elementary School.
Since moving to Coppell, Koller has volunteered as a Coppell Baseball Association coach, a Cub Scouts den leader, and a CISD Elementary Facilities Committee member.
"Those have all been fulfilling opportunities for service," Koller said, "but now I'm hoping to give back to this community in a much bigger way."
Koller is a graduate of the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas and Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. He is employed as a communications editor for the Allied Pilots Association. He was previously a newspaper reporter and editor for 18 years, including an eight-year stint at The Dallas Morning News followed by five years as the top editor at People Newspapers, publisher of Park Cities People and Preston Hollow People.
His campaign website is koller4coppell.com. He also can be found on Facebook (@koller4coppell) and Twitter (@koller4coppell).
