Coppell, Texas (5/9/2018) – In recognition of its dedication to school and student involvement,Coppell Taekwondo Academy has been recognized by Coppell Independent School District as a “Partner in Excellence.”

Coppell Taekwondo Academy was one of 50+ businesses and individuals to be recognized as a “Partner in Excellence” for the 2017-2018 school year. It attests to Coppell Taekwondo Academy’s service to the school district as a whole and the positive impact it has had on individual students, in both the classroom and in the martial arts school. 

 “Coppell ISD is extremely fortunate to have such a strong and supportive business community within our district.  Kevin and Amanda exemplify what we mean by “Partner in Excellence”, as they consistently show up in many ways across many of our schools, district events and committees”, said CISD Director of Community Engagement Tammy Taylor. 

 Kevin and Amanda Nevels were recognized at the “Partners in Excellence” Breakfast held Wednesday May 9^th 2018. The breakfast was held at the Vonita White Administration Building. 

 Kevin and Amanda both attended Coppell High School and currently live and work with in the boundaries of CISD. “It means so much to me to be able to give back and work with the wonderful students located here in Coppell and surrounding communities. As a CISD graduate, it’s amazing to see how the district has evolved to continue to serve the needs of all students who attend the schools. From Kindergarten to High School we’ve been involved at every level and we love finding new ways to plug in and give back.” Said Kevin Nevels, Owner and Chief Instructor of Coppell Taekwondo Academy.

 Coppell Taekwondo America was among a select few schools to receive the distinguished Mark of Excellence Award in 2016. This award is one of the highest honors bestowed by Century Martial Arts. It attests to Coppell Taekwondo America’s outstanding service to the community as a whole and the positive impact it has had on individual students, in both their martial arts development and their everyday lives.

 Chief Instructor and 5^th Degree Black Belt Kevin Nevels, accepted the Mark of Excellence Award on behalf of Coppell Taekwondo America on Wednesday, July 6, at the Gold Event, part of the 2016 Martial Arts SuperShow. The event was held at the Hakkasan Ling Ling Club in the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

The Martial Arts SuperShow is the world’s largest martial art industry tradeshow and educational event, hosted annually by the Martial Arts Industry Association (MAIA). As a leader in the community and a school on the forefront of martial arts teaching and development trends, Coppell Taekwondo America has been a regular presence at the SuperShow for several years.
