Vista Ridge Mall announces that applications for A+ Rewards for the 2014-15 school year are now being accepted and must be received by the shopping center by September 12. Public and private schools in the Lewisville or Coppell school districts are eligible to enroll in A+ Rewards, the shopping center’s community program that awards $20,000 in cash to participating schools over the course of a school year.
A+ REWARDS offers schools thre different ways to receive cash rewards:
- A+ HONOR ROLL: Schools earning as few as 500 total points in a nine-week “grading period” will be entered in a random drawing for $1,500 cash. A $1,500 reward will be awarded for each of the first three grading periods in the school year.
- END-OF-YEAR AWARDS: Schools compete for the highest accumulation of points during the school year to earn a share of the remaining $15,000 cash reward.
- SPIRIT NIGHT: Vista Ridge Mall will host a special spirit night in December, and the A+ School demonstrating the most spirit will receive $500. During the evening, students can encourage holiday shoppers to support their school by showing receipts and contributing to the point value towards A+ Rewards. Details about Spirit Night will be available closer to the event.
Vista Ridge Mall launched A+ Rewards in 2010 [formerly known as My School’s Cool] and since its inception, the shopping center has gifted area schools with $80,000 in cash prizes. Each participating school signs a pledge committing to program participation. The pledge promotes honesty and accountability on the part of the participating schools.
Each school earns rewards based on Vista Ridge Mall receipts turned in on behalf of their school and through a variety of extra-credit opportunities. Each dollar spent and tabulated in A+ Rewards earns the participating school one point. There are opportunities to earn extra points on double-point shopping days and on other special shopping days throughout the school year. Total points earned by a participating school will be divided by student enrollment in order to allow all schools, regardless of enrollment, to compete fairly.
A complete list of guidelines, opportunities for extra points, school eligibility requirements and more A+ Rewards details are available at www.vistaridgemall.com, under A+ Rewards in the Sales & Events heading or in the Vista Ridge Mall office, located on the upper level near the Food Court.
The deadline for schools to enroll in A+ Rewards is Friday, September 12, 2014. Receipts dated Friday, August 1, 2014 through Monday, May 11, 2015 can be redeemed for points. Application forms can be picked up at the Mall Management Office, located on the upper level near the Food Court.
