Registration for the Coppell Family YMCA’s Camp on the Lake, an all-day summer camp on Lake Lewisville is currently on-going at the Y. The camp, which was specifically developed for school age children, offers camp activities usually exclusive to a sleep-away camp. Activities include archery horseback riding, sailing, swimming, and crafts all in a beautiful water-front location. The camp “maintains a staff to child ratio which is compliant with the State of Texas requirements, and like all YMCA programs, is licensed by the State of Texas,” says Gayle Westapher, Executive Director. “Camp in a location as beautiful as Camp on the Lake is an experience your child should not miss!” she notes.
Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Camp begins the week of June 8th. Camp hours are 7:30 am to 6 pm with drop off and pick up at the Coppell Family YMCA, 146 Town Center Blvd. YMCA members receive a discount on Camp on the Lake fees and the weekend of March 20-22 registrants will receive $25 off a one-week session.
