#22 Drew Brinda and the Cowboys defeated defending Florida State Champs, Melbourne High School, 2-0, at MAST on Thursday night.

The #3 nationally ranked Varsity Cowboys are in Orlando, Florida this weekend competing in the prestigious Montverde Academy (ranked #1 in the nation) Soccer Tournament (MAST) where they will face some of the best teams in the country. Thursday night, they defeated the defending Florida State Champs, Melbourne High School, 2-0 with goals by Andrew Grimmer in the first half and Griffin Jaksa in the 2nd half where he was able to capitalize on a great set piece play from Austin Michaelis and Stephen Tower. The Cowboys advance to the semi finals where they will play Cathedral High School (California) on Friday, Januray 16th. Congratulations to the Cowboys JV soccer team for their tough 2-1 win over Cleburne High School's Varsity team this past Tuesday night in Cleburne!

After they return from Florida, the Cowboys will play at our home stadium for their next two games where they will face Jesuit on Tuesday, Jan. 20th and Irving MacArthur on Friday, Jan. 23rd. JV2 plays at 4:30 pm, JV at 5:45 and Varsity will kick off at 7:45 pm. Come out and cheer on your Cowboys in their final pre-season games! District play begins on Tuesday, Jan. 27th! GO COWBOYS!
