The Coppell City Council will be addressing a variety of issues, including the approval of a proclamation creating a "bullying" awareness week, at its bimonthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Town Center, which is located at 255 Parkway Boulevard.

Here are some of the items on the meeting's agenda:

  • "Consider approval of a proclamation proclaiming the week of November 14-20, 2011 as 'BULLYING PREVENTION AND AWARENESS WEEK,' and authorizing the Mayor to sign."
  • "PUBLIC HEARING: Consider approval of an Ordinance to provide for the continued taxation of goods-in-transit otherwise to be exempt under section 11.253 of the Texas Property Tax Code, and authorizing the Mayor to sign."
  • "Consider approval of a License Agreement between the City of Coppell and Red Hawk of Coppell Homeowners Association to allow the use of decorative street and regulatory signs, a gate house, and a welcome wall within the City's right of way; and authorizing the City Manager to sign and execute any necessary documents."
  • "Consider approval of a Resolution approving an Amended and Restated Tax Abatement Agreement between the City of Coppell and Barcel USA, LLC, and authorizing the Mayor to sign."

The city council meeting is open to the public. Also, the meeting will be televised on Coppell's government cable access channel, which is channel 16 on Time Warner Cable and channel 32 on Verizon FiOS.
