Coppell Mayor Karen Hunt, along with CHS Band Director Scott Mason, proclaims March 17, 2015 to be Coppell High School Band Day.

Coppell, TX – The Coppell High School Band is buzzing about their invitation to march in the 15th annual London St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 13, 2016 and perform in concert at Westminster’s Great Hall. Plans are already underway to attend these events as well as tour some of London’s best attractions. During the CHS Band Boosters meeting on March 17, Coppell Mayor Karen Hunt proclaimed March 17, 2015 to be Coppell High School Band Day in the City of Coppell, urging residents to encourage and support the students as they prepare over the next year for the trip. The proclamation also recognized the accomplishments and talents of the high school band members and the City’s appreciation of each student as they represent Coppell and the State of Texas.

“I am very excited to be a part of the CHS Band’s big celebration and their plans for this time next year,” stated Mayor Hunt. “It is truly an honor to have the CHS Band represent the City of Coppell.” Scott Mason, Director of Instrumental Music for Coppell ISD, added “This is a trip of a lifetime. London is an unbelievable city and the students will remember this for the rest of their lives.”
