The following letter is from Scarlett Hovland, administrative support assistant for the City of Coppell:

The City of Coppell would like to offer sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the community who assisted with this year’s holiday “Make a Child Smile” program. The “Make a Child Smile” program was once again a success because of gifts given to the families in Coppell who needed a little extra help to make for a happy holiday season. 

Support from the citizens and businesses together gifted 142 Coppell families with a total of 347 children. Each child received a gift of clothing and a gift of choice.

City Manager Clay Phillips was quoted as saying, “The Make a Child Smile program is something our staff enjoys facilitating every year. The continued generous spirit of our community never ceases to amaze me. Programs like this one are examples of our community's small town feel and help make Coppell a great place to live, work and raise a family.”

The City of Coppell is delighted to be able to count on you when called upon for special services within our community. Without you, the “Make a Child Program” would not continue to be successful.
