Super Star winners from the previous year.
The Coppell ISD Education Foundation (CFE) is bringing back the Super Star teacher and student recognition program at all the Coppell Independent School District (CISD) elementary and middle school campuses. The Super Star program is designed to give parents and CISD staff an opportunity to recognize the dedicated and hardworking students, teachers, administrators and support staff within the district. All nominees will be given a certificate regardless of whether they are chosen, so the more nominations that come in, the better.
Parents, CISD staff and students are given the opportunity to nominate any CISD staff person at their campus that they would like to be considered for the award. Student nominations will be submitted by CISD staff.
A few changes have been made for this program. This year there will only be two nomination periods that match up with the fall and spring semesters. The first nomination deadline is Nov 9th. The second deadline is April 26th. We want to allow plenty of time before the end of semester to present knowing these times are full and hectic.
At the elementary schools, two students per grade and three members of CISD staff will be selected each period. At the middle school level, 5 students per grade and 5 members of staff will be selected each period. Awards can be given out at an assembly, during announcements or in the classroom. All chosen winners receive a certificate, a Super Star T-shirt and a large eraser and/or pen with stylus.
“Our learners and staff are amazing here in Coppell ISD! I love this program because it not only gives all staff an opportunity to recognize learners and their colleagues who are doing great things, but it is also an avenue for parents and learners to recognize the educators who are making a difference and who go above and beyond every day,” said Heather Ashby, who heads up the Super Star program this year for CFE.
