The Coppell High School Varsity Marching Band has been working tirelessly on perfecting their marching program entitled “The Other Side”.  The performance features music by Bach, Mozart and Rachmaninoff and is led by Drum Majors, Mallika Chadaga, Alice Mae Alford, Catherine Yang and Abhinay Adlooru. 

The band’s hard work has paid off as they received all 1’s at the UIL Region 31 Marching Contest, advancing them to the next round at the UIL Area B Marching Contest on Saturday, October 27.  The band’s performance in the preliminary round earned them a spot in the finals, and their performance in the finals earned them a top 5 finish, qualifying them to perform at the 2018 UIL 6A State Marching Band Contest.  The State finals begin on November 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. 

Prior to their performance at State, they will perform in the BOA San Antonio Super Regional Marching Contest on Saturday, November 3, also at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.  The band appreciates all the support from their families and the community.
