This weekend Coppell High School hosted the Coppell Relays against 13 area schools.  The Coppell Varsity girls finished 2nd place and the Coppell Varsity Boys finished 3rd place.  Highlights of the day included four new Coppell High School records.

Junior Evan Caswell broke the men’s 3200-meter record with a time of 9:17:07.  The accomplishment was witnessed by the former record holder Carson Vickroy who was there to cheer Evan on.

Junior Morgan Colon broke the women’s 800-meter record with a time of 2:15.43 earning her a 3rd place finish against a strong set of competitors.   

Freshman Sky Schuller broker her own women’s pole vault record with a 13’ jump as well as the 100-meter hurdle record with a time of 14:56.  Both events earned her 1st place finishes.

The men’s varsity 4x400-meter relay team took a commanding lead after the third leg and finished in 1st place with a time of 3:26 (including members Tyler Felton, Skyler Corbaley, Samir Thota, and Jackson Walker). 

Other first place finishes included Issabela Hinojos with a 17.39 in the women’s JV 100-meter hurdles; Jackson Walker with a 1:53.33 in the men’s Varsity 800-meter; Lauren Kellett with a 36’11” varsity women’s triple jump; Samir Thota with a 21.96 in the men’s varsity 200-meter; and Skyler Corbaley with a 14.75 in the men’s Varsity 110-meter hurdles.

Other second place finishes included Garbiel Sosa (men’s varsity PV); Helena de Moraes (women’s JV PV); Lulu Ehinger (women’s JV 3200); and Samir Thota (men’s varsity 100-meters).

Other third place finishes included Aneudy Reyes Torres (men’s JV 300 Hurdles); Benjamin Battleson (men’s Varsity HJ); Charles Weber (men’s JV SP); Kelly Wheeler (women’s JV PV); Kimberly Obialo (women’s JV SP); Reezon Eke (women’s JV 800-meter); Veronica Turner (women’s Varsity PV); and Zach Tucker (men’s Varsity Discuss).
