The Coppell Girls’ finished fourth overall.  Senior Choe Hassman led Coppell; she finished sixth with a time of 18 minutes, 31.2 seconds.  With this finish she set a new personal record on the North Lakes Park course and will advance as an individual qualifier to the regional championship.  Chloe was followed by teammates Waverly Hassman (22nd, 19:49), Natalie Fleming (25th, 19:53), Alexa Turati (26th, 19:56), Hanna Noyola (31st, 20:13), Reezon Eke (20:30), and Morgan Colon (20:51).

Coppell JV Boys’ finished third with a score of 58, behind Plano West (41) and Flower Mound (41).  Sophomore Dylan Newsome led the boys, he finished 2nd overall in a time of 16 minutes, 43 seconds.  He was followed by top-10 finishing teammates Karthi Parthipan (5th, 16:57) and Ahsan Habeeb (7th, 17:01).  Krish Vinish (21st, 17:31), and Nicolas Martinez (23rd, 17:36) rounded out the point scorers for Coppell.  Also competing for Coppell at the District Championship were Cameron Churchill-Dowd, Jorge Retana, Jeevan Janeev, Alfred Fairchild, and Henry Henze.

The JV Girls’ finished fourth in their race.  Junior Avery Hancock was the top runner for Coppell with a 10th place finish in a time of 20 minutes, 37.1 seconds.  Teammates Elizabeth Grace Walker (19th, 21:27), Alyza Siddiqui (21st, 21:29), Daniela Chavarria (27th, 21:44), and Jeana Sheurich (29th, 21:58) scored team points.  Zoebella Madison, Dia Atluri, Megan Peltier, Ashlyn Wilbanks, and Aria Juma also competed for Coppell.

Head Coach Nick Benton is proud of all the seniors that ran in their last cross country race on Friday.  He appreciates all they have done for this program in the last 4 years!  “I am very pleased with the way our boys competed in their race.  They left everything out on the course and it paid off,” said Coach Benton.  “Winning district in 6-6A is something we are proud of as a program and hope to build on next week in Lubbock.”  “I’m also excited to see Chloe continue to work on her goal of being an individual state qualifier,” added Coach Benton.  Chloe and the Boys’ Varsity team will move onto the Region I-6A Championship which will take place on Tuesday, November 10 at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
