On Wednesday morning, a crowd of parents, teachers and coaches gathered in Coppell High School's small gym to show support for thirteen senior athletes as they signed national letters of intent to play sports in college. 

The athletes, who will be attending a variety of universities that span the United States from coast to coast, sat at tables that were positioned on the gym floor at CHS, as they signed commitment letters one by one, while onlookers cheered in excitement during the special signing day event.

Here are the student athletes who signed commitment letters on Wednesday:

• Sarah Agnew, Georgia State University, Sand Volleyball
  Travelling out of Texas for college, Sarah signed a letter of intent to play sand volleyball for Georgia State University in Atlanta, and she plans to major in Sports Marketing or Exercise Science/Kinesiology. (Fun fact: Sand volleyball officially became an NCAA Division I sport this year.)
  
  
• Laura Beaty, University of Mississippi, Volleyball
  Laura will be taking her volleyball talents to the Southeastern Conference (SEC), as she committed to playing for the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in Oxford with plans to major in Studio Art — Grapic Design.
  
  
• Erica Bohanan, Tulsa University, Volleyball
  The next volleyball commitment in this list comes from Erica Bohanan who will be playing for the Tulsa University Hurricanes in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
  
  
• Lora Blackwell, Stephen F. Austin State University, Softball
  Having started playing softball at six years old, Lora will continue her sports career in college at her father's alma mater, Stephen F. Austin, in Nacogdoches, Texas, while majoring in Finance.
  
  
• Jackson Cramer, West Virginia University, Baseball
  Big 12 Conference newcomer, West Virginia University, received a baseball commitment from Coppell's Jackson Cramer, who will be showcasing his skills at the university, which is located in Morgantown, West Virginia. Jackson plans to major in Business Administration.
  
  
• Jake Elliott, University of Oklahoma, Baseball
  The phrase "Boomer Sooner" was shouted by members of the crowd in Coppell's gym as Jake, who intends on majoring in Engineering, signed a letter of intent to play baseball for the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
  
  
• Austin Gardner, Wichita State University, Baseball
  The baseball team at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas, received a commitment from CHS's Austin Gardner, who plans on earning a degree in Business/Marketing.
  
  
• Tyler Jones, United States Air Force Academy, Baseball
  With plans to major in Management, Tyler is going to play baseball for the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
  
  
• Chiaka Ogbogu, University of Texas, Volleyball
  Chiaka proudly flashed the "Hook 'em, Horns" hand sign after she inked her letter of intent to play volleyball for the University of Texas at Austin, having plans to major in Pre-Med.

• Cassidy Pickrell, University of California, Irvine, Volleyball
  Heading to the West Coast, Cassidy will be playing volleyball for the University of California, Irvine, while majoring in Broadcast Journalism.
  
  
• Alyssa Ringhausen, Tarleton State University, Softball
  Alyssa will be staying in the Lone Star State for college, as she will be playing softball for Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, and earning a degree in Kinesiology/Physical Therapy.
  
  
• Alicia Van Winkle, Appalachian State University, Softball
  Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, received a softball commitment from Coppell's Alicia Van Winkle who will be majoring in Communications/Broadcasting with a minor in English.
  
  
• Tyler Zabojnik, United States Air Force Academy, Baseball
  The Air Force Academy picked up another CHS baseball player, Tyler Zabojnik, who signed his letter of intent and has plans on majoring in Business/Engineering.
