During the Coppell ISD Board meeting May 21, CISD Trustees officially swore in newly elected Trustees Nichole Bentley (Place 6) and Manish Sethi (Place 2), and reelected Trustee Tracy Fisher (Place 7).

This was an historic occasion for the district, as Sethi is CISD’s first Asian elected to its Board of Trustees. CISD’s diverse student population is about 47 percent Asian.

Trustees also elected the following as Board Officers during the meeting: Fisher as President, David Caviness (Place 5) as Vice President and Leigh Walker (Place 1) as Secretary.
