The City of Dallas has authorized Archer Western Construction, LLC, to begin work on Dallas Water Utilities hydraulic structures located within the banks of the Elm Fork of the Trinity River.  This construction project will include improvements to the Carrollton Dam, located under the Sandy Lake Road bridge.  The Carrollton Dam requires significant structural repairs including demolition and reconstruction.

Work on the dam is estimated to begin in early October with completion anticipated by December.  Area residents can expect occasional construction noise and workers present 24-hours, 7 days per week.  This is a City of Dallas project and is not subject to any Coppell Ordinances.
