The Broadway version of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” is coming to Coppell! Presented by First United Methodist Church of Coppell, the production will be presented March 1-3, 2018.

Auditions are open to all area students in grades 6-12, and will be held beginning at 6 p.m. on either Tuesday, November 7 or Wednesday, November 8, with callbacks beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 8. You do not need to be from Coppell or a member of FUMC-Coppell to audition for “Cinderella”- all students are welcome!

Actors will be asked to sing a selection of music of their choice (it may be from “Cinderella” but not required); a pianist will be provided, or you may use electronic accompaniment (such as from your iPhone), or no accompaniment at all. Actors will also be asked to work with others in a small choreographed routine, and measurements for costumes will be taken. In addition, actors are asked to bring conflicts (evening and Saturday activities) that might interfere with rehearsals to help the directors in planning rehearsals.

This production is directed by Emily Baker, with musical direction by Ricky Mitchell and choreography by Whitney Bollinger. First United Methodist Church of Coppell has produced musicals annually since 2001, including “Mary Poppins,” “Seussical,” “Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid,’” “Beauty and the Beast,” “West Side Story,” and others. While earlier productions were presented in the Sanctuary, this will be the fourth production presented in FUMC’s state-of-the-art Ministry Center.

Callback packets (may be used for auditions) are available from FUMC-Coppell or by email. For any questions regarding auditions for “Cinderella,” please contact First United Methodist Church at 972-462-0471, ext. 216, or Ricky Mitchell at rmitchell@fumccoppell.org
