Nineteen young actors from the Coppell area have joined the cast of Theatre Coppell’s latest show, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” The play, based on a hugely successful book, is one of the most popular holiday shows ever.

The show’s director, Joshua Smith, put together the cast in October in order to work with the kid actors, who are most of the actors in the show.

The classic story is about a small-town annual Christmas pageant that is complicated this time by the fact that the six Herdman kids have decided to join the cast. The Herdmans are the worst kids in town – stealing things, bullying, and running rampant. After long rehearsals that look like the pageant will be a disaster, a miracle happens and the entire town is reminded of the true meaning of the holiday – an outcome caused by the Herdmans themselves.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will play at Theatre Coppell December 1 through 17 at the Center for the Arts. Reservations are available at TheatreCoppell.com or by calling 972-745-7719.
