Tennis in Coppell, along with Wagon Wheel Tennis Center and Rally for the Cure are gearing up for our second annual Rally for the Cure event in support of Susan G Komen for the Cure. There will be a player party on Friday, October 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Senor Locos in Coppell and play will commence Saturday October 28 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. There will be men’s, women’s and mixed doubles divisions and if you don’t have a partner we will find you one. And if you think doubles is not your game, give it a try for one day for an important cause! We’ll be raffling some fun things on Friday night and enjoying each other’s compan y at Senor Locos.

Saturday October 28 we will start the men’s doubles divisions at 10 a.m. Ladies will start after Noon so they can play their Metro matches and still participate in the Rally. There will be an opening ceremony at Noon featuring the Coppell Chorale and honoring our breast cancer survivors. This year we will also have vendor booths so when you’re between matches you can do some holiday shopping. A partial list of vendors includes Stella & Dot, LulaRoe, LipSense, Thirty-One Bags, Young Living Essential Oils, Monat, Poetic Day Designs and Aspen’s Table (cupcakes).

Our goal is to have more people at Wagon Wheel Tennis Center than have ever been there at one time before! And that takes a village. Please signup today to play by copying and pasting this link into your browser http://bit.ly/coppellrallyforthecureevent. Eventually breast cancer will touch someone near you if it hasn’t already. Great progress is being made but there is still much work to be done.
