Red & Black Robotics Camp Registration Opens November 1st

The Coppell Education Foundation is excited to partner for the third time with Verizon to offer the Red & Black Robotics Camp.

The program is designed specifically for 5th and 6th graders.

During the camp students will build and program their own Parallax Boe-Bot Robot to perform a variety of tasks.  The students will get to take the robots home at the end of camp.

The weekly, two-hour class will be presented by Verizon employees and will be held at Coppell Middle School West.  All students will need to bring a windows based laptop for programming the robots.

The camp will take place over an eight-week period, meeting on Wednesday nights from 5:30-7:30 beginning January 10th. The final day, will be Saturday March 3rd, parents are encouraged to come and watch the Parade of Robots.

Registration opens on Wednesday, November 1st at 8:00 am.

The camp only has 60 spots and last year it sold out in less than ten minutes.  More information about the camp can be found on the Coppell Education Foundation website, www.coppellisdef.com.
