Texas Creative Arts Academy presents The Ransom of Red Chief, a light-hearted story adapted by Michael Johnson from a short story by O. Henry.
The story is set in rural Alabama. Two bumbling crooks plot to kidnap the son of a well-to-do businessman. But once the boy, who calls himself “Red Chief,” is taken, he turns the tables in hilarious “Home Alone” style and outplays the crooks with a surprise twist!
Reed Emmons, a second grade student from Coppell, plays the part of Red Chief.
“This is a great show for all ages,” said director Michael Johnson. “It’s a high energy, family-friendly production, and we encourage everyone to come out for a fun evening of entertainment.”
Friday evening performances are “pay what you can” with first come, first served general seating. Additional performances are Saturday and Sunday matinees. Shows run March 22 through March 30.
The Ransom of Red Chief is rated G and suitable for the whole family! Tickets are available online at www.texascreativeartsacademy.com. Group rates are available. Contact Natalie at 972-304-0160 for additional information.
