In keeping with the mission of Assistance League Coppell and in order to promote and reward community service in our youth, Assistance League Coppell is proud to offer scholarships to graduating seniors who have exhibited an interest in philanthropic work and have given their time and talents to improve our community. The applicant must be a resident of Coppell but the high school they are attending is not a factor. This is not an academic based scholarship; it is based totally on community service, a demonstration of a desire to continue philanthropic work after graduation and recommendations from supervisors, or project leaders of past projects. Additional consideration will be awarded to a student committed to community service but to any demonstration a self-initiated role and to any unique contribution they made to the project.
Guidelines and applications are available at www.coppell.assistanceleague.org. under Philanthropic Programs, via Naviance, or from any high school counselor. Applications are due no later than March 24th and will be presented at the Assistance League Coppell meeting on May 17th.
