Then the Coppell Community Chorale is just right for you! The CCC is open to individuals 14 years and older who can carry a tune. No auditions required. The ability to read music or formal voice training is not a requirement to become a member. The Chorale rehearses Monday evenings from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Coppell Center for the Arts located at 157 S. Moore Road in Coppell. The choir’s year runs from August to May. Two themed concert weekends are held in November and May along with a Holiday Concert in December and Special Community Concert in early Spring. New members are welcome to join anytime during the first three weeks of the semester.

Remaining performance dates for the Chorale’s 2018–2019 season  include  “Unconventional Wisdom” a musical advice column with words of advice for all on February 23rd at the Cozby Library and Community Commons and the traditional Spring concert, “By George!” the weekend of May 13th once again at the Coppell Center for the Arts. All the selections performed in “By George!” were written, arranged or originally sung by a George.

The group brings together singers of all ages from Coppell and surrounding areas. Its mission is to promote, support, and sustain interest in choral music, enrich and inspire the lives of members and audiences and to be leaders in the Coppell arts community. The non-audition choir performs under the direction of Joshua Brown. Mr. Brown is thrilled to begin his third season as the Artistic Director of the Coppell Community Chorale. This year he continues his doctoral studies at the University of North Texas and undertakes the task of directing . In addition, Mr. Brown is the Director of Music at St. Philip Presbyterian Church in Hurst and is on the Voice Faculty at Marcus High School in Lewisville.  Prior to beginning his degree, he served as the Director of Choirs at Coppell High School from 2012-2017.
