It’s time to pitch in to keep Coppell beautiful! Keep Coppell Beautiful’s annual citywide cleanup event, Clean Coppell, is coming up in April.

Keep Coppell Beautiful encourages families, scout troops, schools and other organizations to get involved in beautifying their community by participating in Clean Coppell 2013. This year’s event will begin on Saturday, March 23 and run through Saturday, April 6.

Clean Coppell is held every year in conjunction with the Great American Cleanup and Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off events. Volunteers are invited to do their part by completing a litter cleanup, creek cleanup or participate in the Coppell Nature Park’s workday on March 23 or complete another beautification or improvement project of their choosing.

“Clean Coppell is our biggest volunteer effort of the year,” said Jen Ferguson, community programs coordinator. “This event is a great way for Coppell citizens to make a difference in their community.”

The registration form is available on the City of Coppell website, under the About Coppell/Keep Coppell Beautiful page and Clean Coppell heading. Registration closes on Friday, March 8 at noon. Registered volunteers receive a free T-shirt, and Keep Coppell Beautiful will provide cleanup supplies, such as trash bags and gloves, to the volunteers.

Clean Coppell 2013 will conclude with the city’s annual Earthfest event on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Coppell Town Center.
