The Coppell ISD Education Foundation (CEF) is hosting its 7th annual “Run to Fund” timed 5K and 1-mile fun run this Saturday at Andy Brown Park East. This is a great community-wide event for the entire family. The following CEF sponsors will have booths at the event: Park Place Lexus, Aramark, Bailey Orthodontics, Cruise Planners, Spencer Air Conditioning, Orange Theory, Bliss Orthodontics, Coppell Taekwondo, Neighborhood Credit Union, Valentine Premier Roofing, 9 Round, Special Olympics, Coppell ER, and Norwex. The Austin Elementary Marimba Band will be playing at 8:30 am and the CHS Art Honor Society will be doing face painting.
The one-mile Fun Run/Walk will begin at 8 AM and follow a simple path within Andy Brown East. The timed 5K will start at 8:30 AM. It will use the Coppell Park trails that start at Andy Brown East, head around the north side of Denton Creek (off of Natches Trace) to the bridge that will bring the runners back into the park.
Medals will be given to the top three male and female finishers for 16 different age groups, including awards for the Overall and Masters (40 years +) male and female runners. New this year, medals will also be awarded to the top CHS alumni runner in three different age groups.
