The Coppell City Council will hold an executive session on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Town Center, located at 255 Parkway Blvd. A work session that is open to the public will follow immediately after, and the regular session will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Some of the items on the agenda include:

  • Consider approval of an ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of Coppell, repealing the article “Oil & Gas Drilling & Production,” in its entirety, and replacing with a new article of the same name, regulating the drilling and production of oil and gas wells.
  • Consider approval of an ordinance case for the Trinity River Kayak Company to attach a detail site plan on 1.5 acres of property to allow a convenience store and canoe, kayak, paddleboard storage, rentals and sales to be located at 1601 E. Sandy Sandy Lake Rd.
  • Consider approval of an ordinance for North Gateway Plaza (Emerus Emergency Hospital) a zoning change, to amend the concept plan and to attach a detail site plan on 6.13 acres to allow development of a two-story hospital/medical/office building with a 19,929-square-foot hospital and a 18,986-square-foot medical office to be located on the north side of SH 121.

The city manager, city council and mayor will present reports at the meeting as well.
