Congratulations to the CHS swimmers on their performances at the Tomball Invitational in Houston on Saturday, October 5! Raymond Li, Chad Johnson, Shannon Wheeler and Jenna Loria were chosen as the outstanding swimmers of the meet for Coppell by Coach Patrick Henry. Loria set a new meet record winning the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.14! Other first place wins came from Vitor Zucco in the 500 freestyle, Savannah Henry in the 100 backstroke and the relay team of Wheeler, Loria, Henry and Ashlynn Hernandez who set a new meet record with a time of 3:51.78 in the 400 freestyle relay.

Tuesday, October 8, the CHS swim teams traveled to Mansfield to compete against Mansfield High. It was a very competitive meet for both teams. The girls won and the boys lost a close meet. Many season-best times were achieved. Katie Holloway and Vitor Zucco were selected as the Outstanding Swimmers of the Meet by Coach Henry. Holloway had personal best times in both the 200 and 500 freestyle! Luke Meyer had a strong relay anchor leg to help the boys win the 400 freestyle relay and Zucco won both the 500 freestyle and 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:05. Also, the girls had their first diver, Taylor Bishop, compete in a long time for the Cowgirls. She helped the Cowgirls win the meet with her first place finish. Way to go swimmers and divers!
