Senior Mason David gives it his all for a 3rd place overall finish in the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 30.09 seconds at the Frisco Sprint Invitational.

The CHS Swim team competed in their first meet of the season, the Frisco Sprint Invitational this past Saturday, September 28, at Frisco ISD Natatorium.

The Cowboys finished 6th out of 17 teams with notable performances by Senior Luke Meyer who came in 1st overall out of 100 swimmers in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.60 seconds! Senior Mason David came in 3rd overall out of 51 swimmers in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 30.09 seconds.

The Cowgirls finished 4th out of 20 teams with outstanding performances by Senior Joann Chu who set a new meet record winning the 50 yard backstroke in 28.26 seconds! Junior Shannon Wheeler came in 5th out of 72 swimmers in the 50 free with a time of 26.78. Sophomore Savannah Henry came in 6th out of 57 swimmers in the 100 yard Individual Medley with a time of 1:08:68. Also, the Cowgirls Medley Relay team consisting of Chu, Henry, Junior Sarah Zeh and freshman Sydney Blaas finished 3rd out of 30 teams.

The swimmers will travel to the Houston area this Saturday to compete in the Tomball Invitational. Good luck Cowboys and Cowgirls!
