Holiday Food Drive

The holiday season is a great time for people to reunite with their families, watch football and enjoy lots of food — though, not everyone has that luxury.

The city of Coppell is hosting a Holiday Food Drive from now until Jan. 2 to help support less fortunate members of the community throughout the holiday season.

Coppell residents are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items and toiletries that will be given to the those in need at one of three locations throughout the city, according to the city of Coppell website. Anyone who is interested in donating to the less fortunate can drop off their contributions at the Town Center, located at 255 Parkway Blvd.; the Coppell Justice Center, located at 130 Town Center Blvd.; or the Coppell Public Library, located at 177 N. Hertz Rd.

There will be boxes at each of the drop off locations for people to deposit their donations. City of Coppell staff members will deliver the food and other donations to pantries in North Texas throughout the holidays.

The city recommends donations of food and toiletry items, including evaporated milk, canned fruit, canned vegetables, toilet paper, toothpaste, trash bags and more.

So, if you can, please help provide food and other necessary items to less fortunate members of the North Texas community.
