Coppell Assistance League Announces New Officers
Assistance League of Coppell announces their Board of Directors for 2016-17. Guiding the organization will be Lynne Garriss, President; Leah Cross, Vice President of Membership, Marilyn Klass, Vice President Programs; Debbie Hinson, Vice President Resource Development; Bobbie King, Vice President Public Relations; Yvette Hightower, Secretary; LeeAnne Oesch, Treasurer; Brenda Hendrix-Smith, Education; Kay Adams, Web Chair/Parliamentarian; Melissa Evans, Strategic Planning.
Assistance League of Coppell is a group of concerned citizens dedicated to making a difference in the Coppell area. Best known for the Christmas Home Tour that helps support the diverse programs throughout the year, there are programs to serve all ages. Assistance League of Coppell works closely with Coppell ISD through Clothe A Child providing clothes, shoes and backpacks and mentoring. They work through the school counselors to provide, drug testing kits to parents, anonymously on request, and assist with Shattered Dreams at the High School as well as providing drug simulation programs using Fatal Vision Goggles to classes and groups on request. Remembering our Golden Citizens, you will see them at a local Assisted Living each week throughout the school year visiting with residents and leading group crossword puzzles.
