'The Ransom of Red Chief' Being Hosted at TCAA this Weekend

Jack Bryant, who is currently a fifth grader in Coppell, will be playing the part of the Red Chief in the Texas Creative Arts Academy's presentation of "The Ransom of Red Chief" this weekend.

The story is about two "bumbling" thieves who plan to kidnap a wealthy businessman's son, who refers to himself as "Red Chief," according to a news release from the TCAA. After the boy is kidnapped, he turns the tables on the crooks — much like the movie "Home Alone" — and there is even a surprise twist.

BJ Cleveland, who is the TCAA's artistic director, and Michael Johnson, who is a stage acting instructor, will be playing the parts of the two crooks.

There will be three performances of this hilarious and family-friendly presentation from April 20-22, and tickets can be purchased on the TCAA's website.
