Senior, Torri Twiggs, places 3rd in the JV 100 meter hurdles.

The Coppell Track and Field Team hosted the Coppell Relays on Saturday, March 4 at Coppell High School.  14 area teams participated in the meet.  Mansfield Summit won the meet for the Varsity Boys with 120 points.  For the Varsity Girls, Lewisville Marcus finished first with 131 points.  Coppell Varsity Boys placed second with 86 points; and the Coppell Varsity Girls finished third with 92 points.  The Coppell JV Boys and JV Girls both took first at the meet with 147.5 and 141.5 points, respectively. 

Senior, Zach Dicken, led the Varsity Boys by placing 1st in the Long Jump and 2nd in the 400 meter.  Top individual competitors were senior, Timmie Heard, second in the 100 meter; senior, Alan Huo, third in the 800 meter; senior, Carson Reynolds, second in the 110 meter hurdles; and sophomore, Corbin Hicks, third in the shot put.

Senior, Claire Barden, led the Varsity Girls team with a first place finish in the shot put.  Top competitors were junior, Kaitlyn Hernandez, third in the 400 meter; junior Rachel Okereke, third in the high jump and triple jump; junior, Rebecca Fuselier, third in the pole vault; and freshman, Nicole Obialo, second in the shot put.  The 4x200 relay team of Amarachi Osiju, Rachel Okereke, Rebecca Copple, and Lauren Kellett placed second.  The 4x100 relay team of Osiju, Okereke, Payton Kirk, and Kellett placed third.

Team point leaders for the JV Boys were junior, Matthew Dicken, first in the triple jump; Garrison Wheatly, first in shot put; sophomore, Wyatt Klawiter, first in the discus; and freshman, Jackson Walker, second in the 800 meter and 1600 meter.  Top individual competitors were sophomore, Justin Murray, second in the high jump; sophomore, Jackson Frederick, second in the pole vault; and freshman, Evan Harper, third in the pole vault.  The 4x200 meter relay team of Joshua Williams, Caden Davis, Joseph La Puma, and Christian Leffingwell finished in second place.  The 4x400 relay team of Jaden Walker, Williams, Dicken, and Leffingwell placed third.

The JV Girls were led by sophomore, Alicia Nash, placing 1st in the 400 meter; sophomore, Reilly Ernest, placing 1st in the 300 meter hurdles, and 2nd in the 100 meter hurdles; and senior, Lauren Stukey, first in the pole vault.  Top competitors were sophomore, Alyssa Lindberg, second in the 100 meter and 3rd in the high jump; freshman, Erin Fox, third in the 100 meter; senior, Torri Twiggs, third in the 100 meter hurdles; sophomore, Julia Vishensky, second in the high jump; Madison Martin, second in the long jump; freshman, Seli Buatsi, second in the triple jump.  Second place finishes were secured by the 4x100 relay team of Buatsi, Martin, Vishensky, and Lindberg placed second, and the 4x200 relay team of Nash, Martin, Vishensky, and Lindberg.  The 4x400 relay team of Nash, Buatsi, Bryce Utter, and Terri Rauschenbach placed third.

The team will travel to Argyle on Thursday, March 9 for the Argyle Eagle Invitational.
