The Coppell High School football team and coaches hosted their 6th annual Teacher Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, March 3rd.  "The Teacher Appreciation Breakfast is a great way for our players and coaches to serve the teachers and staff and give back to those who do so much for us." said Head Coach, Mike DeWitt.  Helping the players learn to serve others, as well as offering team building activities, are opportunities that the coaches work hard to provide year round.

Players were put to work right away as they arrived at CHS at 6:45am to begin cooking the food that was donated by each football family.  The boys scrambled eggs, fried bacon and sausage, and assembled fresh tacos. Once assembled, another group of players delivered the hot breakfast to teachers at their classroom doors, while others volunteered by serving in the teachers lounge and greeting teachers as they arrived at school.

The well organized event was a hit among players and teachers alike.  Junior player, Walker Cain, shared the team's sentiments following the event, "It was nice to be able to give back to the teachers who do so much for us through the whole school year.  It was also fun to be serving with my teammates."

The Coppell Football team would like to thank the CHS Special Education department who generously shared their classroom space and kitchen for meal prep and cooking.  The spirit of "CHS...We Are One" could certainly be felt by all.

Coppell Football appreciates the faculty and staff of CHS tremendously, recognizing the many things they do to support and encourage the team throughout the year.  They are thankful for the opportunity to give back in this small way.
