Wes Mays has won Coppell's Municipal Officer Runoff Election, which was held on Saturday, for the position of Member of the Council, Place 3.

The unofficial results show that Mays received 484 votes in the election, while his opponent, Greg Garcia, only received 466, according to the City of Coppell.

"I am very honored to announce that I was elected to the Coppell City Council today," Mays wrote on his campaign's Facebook page on Saturday.

"I would like to congratulate Greg on a very well run campaign," Mays wrote.
