In their 7th year of competition, both Coppell High School Ultimate Frisbee Teams achieved victories in their first Saturday of Spring League Competition.  The Boys Team notched two victories and the Mixed(co-ed) Team notched a tight victory over Marcus Mixed, but lost their second game to Creekview.

Coppell Boys - 13 vs. Sachse - 0

Coppell Boys - 8 vs. Southlake Carrroll - 5

Aaron Thompson,  Ryan Arafin, and Jake Davis were the leading handlers for the Boys squad.  The game with Southlake was especially hard fought, the norm for these district rivals, and the Coppell Boys Team maintained a tight lead in heavy wind to get the win.

Coppell Mixed - 10 vs. Marcus Mixed - 8

Coppell Mixed - 5 vs. Creekview - 13

Matthew Tayler, Zach Vincenzo, and Jasmine Anand were leading handlers for the Mixed squad.  The game with Marcus was a nail biter and the Mixed Team scored the last 3 goals of the game to seal the victory in time cap.

Coppell Ultimate was the USA Ultimate Texas High School State Champion in 2013 & 2014, and the Boys Team took third place last year.  Their season culminates in the State Championships in Round Rock on May 13-14.

Games are played at City of The Colony - Turner Soccer Complex on Saturdays from 10:00am - 1:00pm.
