The annual kick-off meeting for the Coppell Women’s Club will be Wednesday, September 5, at North Lake College North Campus. Refreshments will be served at 9:30 for returning and new members, while the general meeting will begin at 10:00.
President Sally McCurdy will introduce the new board and provide an overview of the club’s plans for the 2012-2013 year. The focus will then turn to “The SIGnificance Difference,” which will spotlight the many special interest groups (SIGs) available to club members. These include groups that enjoy book discussions, wine tastings, golf, bunco, community service, needlework, theater outings, and much more. Members will learn what SIGs are available and be able to meet with members of different SIGs for a Q&A, as well as sign up for the SIGs they wish to participate in throughout the year.
Dues will be $30 for a regular membership and $40 for a business membership. Photos for a new online pictorial directory will be taken, and reservations for the October 3 fall luncheon at Hackberry Creek may also be made before and after the general meeting.
