Coppell Education Foundation’s Red & Black Classroom Grant application window opens September 13th.  Any CISD teacher, team of teachers or campus is eligible to submit a grant application for up to $7,500.  The Red & Black Classroom grant is one of the signature programs of the Coppell Education Foundation.  It is designed to encourage, facilitate and recognize innovative, creative and effective instructional approaches that directly impact students.

The application deadline is October 18th at 4:30 pm and recipients will be notified in late November or early December.  Last year the Coppell Education Foundation gave out over $35,000 in Red & Black Classroom Grants. Since its inception the foundation has given out over $1 million in grants.

Funding for the grant program comes from the annual Red & Black Fundraising Campaign, which runs from late October through early November and from the sale of the Red & Black t-shirts.  The Red & Black shirts are on sale now through September 8th.  Information about how to apply for a Red & Black Classroom Grant and how to purchase a Red & Black shirt can be found on the Coppell Education Foundation website, www.coppellisdef.com.
