Sophomore, #4 Wyatt Priest, scored the tying goal in the Cowboys Tuesday night win over L.D. Bell.

The Varsity and JV Cowboys Soccer teams kicked off their district season with wins at L.D. Bell on Tuesday night.  It was a tough fought battle for the Varsity boys as they ended the first half with the Blue Raiders up 1-0.  The Raiders came into the second half packing their back and subbing every opportunity they had to burn the clock.  The Cowboys kept the pressure on and with 16 minutes remaining in the game, Wyatt Priest came up with a rocket header into the back of the net off of one of Tanner Traw's long throw ins to tie the game 1-1.  It was Traw, who was named Player of the Game, who would score the final header goal off of a cross by Nick Taylor with 7 minutes remaining to put the Cowboys up 2-1.  It was an exciting game with the Cowboys coming up with the 2-1 win.  Including this season's scrimmages and pre-District games, the undefeated Cowboys will head into tonight's game against the Dragons with a 8-0-2 record.  The JV Cowboys came up with a big district opener 2-0 win over the Blue Raiders.

Don't miss the exciting double header action when your Cowboys and Cowgirls soccer teams take on Southlake at HOME this Friday, January 29th.  It will be Fill the Stands Night for the Cowboys where the first 100 CHS and New Tech students get in free and get free pizza with student ID.  T-shirts will be thrown into the stands and there will be a fun half time competition with Cane's Chicken and Tappy's Yogurt prizes!  COWBOYS KICK OFF AT 5:45 PM! Come out and cheer them on!
