The CHS Track & Field athletes participated in a Tri Meet at Germany Park in University Park on Friday February 5. Forney High School and Highland Park High School also participated in the meet. Even though this was not an official meet, the athletes had an opportunity to practice against other schools in a race environment. Official training for track & field began in January led by the Boys Head Coach, Karl Pointer, and the Girls Head Coach, Nick Benton. The Newman Smith Relays will be first official meet of the season on Saturday, February 20th at Standridge Stadium in Farmers Branch.
