Cowboys Seniors and their parents take the field for the last time at CHS Stadium.

The Cowboys traveled to Trinity last Friday night where they beat the Trojans 4-1.  All four Cowboys' goals happened in the last 15 minutes of the first half when Scott Simigian got the scoring started.  Wyatt Priest put the 2nd one in off of an assist from Kiko Redondo.  Then it was Priest to assist Nick Taylor for goal #3.  Player of the game, Brandon Bohn, netted the last goal for the Cowboys assisted by Redondo again.  The Trojans only goal came in the 2nd half.

The undefeated, 19-0-2 Cowboys clinched their 5th straight district championship under Head Coach Chad Rakestraw with their 3-0 win over Colleyville Heritage at home this past Tuesday Night for Senior Night.  The night started with the Cowboys twelve seniors (Jerod Longoria, Manny Martinez, Rodrigo Zuniga, Tanner Traw, Tyler Whiting, Stjepan Kilic, Scott Simigian, Marcelo Gaitan, Brandon Bohn, Andrew Grimmer, Waleed Cherif and Greg Johnnston) being honored before they played their last match on Buddy Echols Field.  Marcelo Gaitan scored the first goal of the night off a cross by Nick Taylor.  The first half ended with the Cowboys up 1-0, but Wyatt Priest soon found the back of the net with a great header off of a Tanner Traw throw in.  Scott Simigian made it 3-0 assisted by Manny Martinez.  The defense was able to shut down the 2nd place Panthers to end the night.

The Cowboys finished their district season on Friday, March 11th at Haltom High School Stadium with a 4-1 win over the Buffalos.  They are looking forward to their Road to State with Bi-District playoffs beginning the week after Spring Break.
