#11 Nick Taylor, #9 Alex Haas and #24 Parker McClure all came up big for the Cowboys in their last two district games against Colleyville and Haltom.

The undefeated Coppell Cowboys Soccer team finished the first half of their district season in first place with an 11-3 win over Haltom on Tuesday night.  Player of the game, Nick Taylor got the scoring going with a hat trick with assists from Kiko Redondo and Scott Simigian.  Simigian had his own header goal off a corner kick from Taylor and Tanner Traw netted two goals  of his own.

Last Friday night was a big district win for the Cowboys over Colleyville Heritage.  It was hard fought battle that ended in a 2-0 win for the Cowboys with Alex Haas being named Player of the Game for his free kick goal.  Parker McClure scored the other Cowboy goal.  With their 13-0-2 record (including two preseason scrimmages), the Cowboys moved up in the SIMA Fab 50 national rankings to #3 in the nation behind #1 Monteverde Academy of Orlando, FL and #2 Frisco Wakeland, who the Cowboys defeated in a scrimmage early in their preseason play.

The Cowboys will begin the second half of their district play on Friday, February 19th at HOME against the L.D. Blue Raiders.  This is sure to be an exciting game as the Cowboys came from being down 1-0 at the half to beat the Blue Raiders 2-1 in their last match up.  It is also Youth Night!  All  preschool, elementary and middle school youth wearing their soccer team jerseys will get into the game for free.  Other fun activities are planned for the night!  Don't miss out on the excitement!  Varsity kicks off at 7:30 pm at CHS Stadium.  JV kicks off at 5:45.
