Out going Rotary president, Mario Canizares, pins incoming president, Terry Laughlin
The Coppell Rotary Club recently installed its 2015-2106 directors and officers at the club’s annual installation meeting and dinner. The outgoing president, Mario Canizares, welcomed the club members, thanking them for their service throughout his tenure. “We have many accomplishments to celebrate during the past 12 months,” Canizares said. “The installation of the flag and flag pole in Old Town Coppell; the delivery of more than 1,000 American flags at Coppell residences and businesses for six major holidays; financial assistance to allow four Coppell high school-age teens to attend the Rotary leadership program Camp RYLA; the awarding of four $1,000 scholarships to graduating Coppell seniors; and the donation of money to help the recent flood victims at Wellington apartments, are just some of the accomplishments that we have made. This is in addition to our phenomenal fellowship- time and winning the first place float award in the city’s annual Christmas parade, all of which have made this Rotary Club known to the people of our city,” said Canizares.
