The Local Dinner located in Old Town Coppell and Irving features an array of home cooked
breakfast foods and lunch specials while creating an old time diner feel.
This past Friday, July 10, 2015, I visited the local diner for breakfast with my family. I was
thoroughly impressed! At first, just going into the diner, I noticed all the decorations hanging on
the walls of the restaurant. The pictures featured Coppell through the years, and several other
famous old timey photos. Similarly, the walls and tables were checkered with black and white to
replicate the old fashioned retro look.
The amazing ambiance of the diner coupled with the delicious food created an unique
experience for everybody there. I ordered a stack of blueberry pancakes and a side of hash
browns. Although I only ate one pancake, it was more than enough. The portions are large, but
entirely worth it. The pancake basically melted in my mouth and the blueberries were juicy and
fresh. I definitely do not want to forget the hash browns which were toasted the perfect amount
and were a little crunchy. All in all, the Local Diner was the perfect way to start my day and I
cannot wait to come again.
