Sarah Bauer, Coppell High School (CHS) senior, recently returned from Eugene, Oregon where she performed with the Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy (SFYCA) at the world renowned Oregon Bach Festival. After a rigorous audition process, Sarah was chosen to sing in a 90-voice choir comprised of some of the most talented students from across the nation.

During her 12-day stay, Sarah sang in three performances after training with internationally known German conductor Helmuth Rilling, founder of the Oregon Bach Festival and preeminent scholar and interpreter of J.S. Bach’s music alive today, and American conductor Anton Armstrong, conductor of the St. Olaf Choir and is the Harry R. and Thora H. Tosdall Professor of Music at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.

Sarah has twice been named to the Texas Music Educators Association All-State Choir and has consistently scored Superior ratings at solo & ensemble contests at the Region and State level. She is also Captain of Vivace!, the CHS swing choir, and is a CHS Red Jacket school ambassador.
